Botox

Botox and Gel

is a drug made from a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

The toxin blocks the nerve impulses, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance Is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults for a short period of time (temporary).

Yes, it’s true — a large number of people are having Botox injections to regain a more youthful appearance.

In fact, some people are even hosting Botox parties where several women and men (yes, men) gather together for wrinkle-banishing injections.

Although Botox has been used in this manner for years, it was only approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for cosmetic use in April 2002.

You see the result of Botox injection after a week and normally last 4 to 6 months.Side effects were usually mild to moderate lasting 7 days or less and included temporary injection site reactions like redness, pain, firmness, swelling and bumps.

We can categorize gel filler in two types, temporary and permanent.

The temporary filler is better than the permanent one.

Injectable soft tissue fillers like Juvederm can help fill in unwanted lines and soften wrinkles, fill in sunken cheeks, plump up lips and correct acne scarring. Add volume and reduce wrinkles. They are non-invasive, safe, and require minimal downtime.Juvederm is the only gel fillers, obtaining US FDA approval in June 2006.

Gel fillers are now most commonly used to fill in facial lines, wrinkles, and creases, to give a lifting effect to the outer eyebrows, to fill in lower eyelid depressions, or to redefine and/or enhance the lips.

The effects last six months but needs to redone the injection within a year.
